This position will be based in Rome HQ. This position will report to the Director Tax based in our International HQ in Uxbridge, London, UK.

What is this role all about?

Italy Country TAX Manager, based in Rome.

  • Work with external firms and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance (CIT returns, transfer pricing submissions, withholding tax obligations etc…)

  • Manage tax authority audits/enquiries

  • Provide VAT technical support to Italy VAT preparers and other colleagues.

  • Manage quarterly US GAAP tax reporting submissions (tax estimates, cash tax forecasts, ASC 740 and FAS 5 memos, valuation allowance reviews etc…).

  • Ensure BS and PL tax balances are accurately recorded under US GAAP

  • Manage statutory tax calculations under local GAAP.

  • Provide tax technical input and leadership on project as required e.g. e-invoicing requirements, treasury transactions, franchisee tax issues, new business initiatives etc…

  • Assist with ad hoc US tax reporting requirements, such as FATCA.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English

  • Proactive, self-starter

  • Conscientious and high level of attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to build constructive working relationships with internal colleagues and external tax advisors.

  • University education plus accounting and/or tax qualification

  • Experience in an international accountancy firm, followed by international MNC work environment.
